Pine Hill is an old ski trail that heads directly to the summit of Mount Wachusett in Central Mass. It is a perfect dog walk, workout, or hike with the kids. It is well maintained by Wachusett Mountain State Park, and dogs are allowed, but required to be on a leash. It is quite steep in some places, and can get icy in the winter. It only takes about 25 minutes to get up to the summit.

Directions :

Take Rt 2W from Boston to 140W (Signed to Wachusett State Park). Follow 140, and take a right onto Mountain Rd. Go past the ski area and up the hill a little further, and the State Park is on the right.
