Description

Powers Creek
Trail length:3km
Level: difficult with most
difficult options
Rating: 4/5

After driving upCrystal Mountain road towards the ski area just past Westbank. At fork go right Jackpine Lake Road look for the 3km marker. The trail is about 500m further on the right. You’ll know this is the one if you hit an 8 foot drop after 100m(there are alternate routes around everything). This has some drops, log rides, launches, uphills and a whole lot of downhills. You end up in a cul de sac that can be ridden downhill to the highway turnoff you took on the way up.

Downside you might also be dead. be careful. Comment this was possibly my favorite trail in the okanagan so far. long ride down, with tons of stuff to challenge or kill you. b lines around all the really crazy stuff. there are a few trails in this area. the gps shown here is what i think is called 2.5 because it starts 2.5 km up the logging road.

Some of the views are amazing Downside Ruts, some of the downhills have huge ruts in them again. Comment Definitely something I am going to be bring a few friends to now. Great ride no matter what trail you end up on.

Comment There is 5 trails. I rode one twice. It is better than Dirt Merchant to lower A-line. Stunts are challenging but doable, and all smooth.

Landing on the road gap after the roller coaster is short and not very steep. Steep sections are getting eroded.

Downside Just after all the stunts at the beginning you have to go up hill same with the end. some of the stunts are old and could use a facelift. Comment Overall i'm not much for the up hill stuff which is about close to a KM when your done. But lots of flow on some of the skinnies.

(OUTBOUND Cycle in Westbank- great guys!) short enough to do in an am/pm. even with a shuttle. A good DH 'learners' Trail- lots of easy outs, good fall lines, large and small / cool stunts, root and rock practice.
We ride up from Webber Rd. and Jack Pine Lk. turnoff for a bit of aerobic action- It's OK!
Downside - this trail is starting to be used by more 'people', more erosion/ ruts, beer cans& garbage! YIKES whose kidz are those? Comment I love this trail. I ride this trail a couple times a week, rain or shine. Can be done in an 45- 60 min. It is NOT for beginners.

Can be riden by pro's and begginers alike. althought i'm posting a sign. NO BRAKE DRAGGERS...
