ESTIMATED TIME: one hour/ 15 km
ACCESS: The route begins from the parking lot of Sargeant’s Bay Provincial Park. Follow Highway 101, 6 km. west of Sechelt to Redroofs. Turn left and follow the signs to Sargeant’s Bay Provincial Park. Mountain Biking is not allowed on some of the trails within the park.
ROUTE: The route is marked clockwise. From the parking lot, follow Highway 101 for 200 m. west and turn right. Follow this logging road for 2.2 km to its junction with the Halfmoon Bay Forest Service 1.6 km to a fork. Follow the right fork for 2 km where you will leave the main road. Veer right and stay on this road for 7 km. This section takes you through some overgrown alder, past a small pond, under the power lines and finishes at the highway. Turn right and follow the Highway 101 back to Trout Lake.
Trails are marked with a small white mountain biking symbol with a brown background or, in the symbols absence, a double band of yellow paint.
POINT OF INTEREST: Trout lake is a residential water supply. Do not pollute it. Possible side trips to Crowston and Wormy Lakes. As well, many panoramic views.
