There are a couple trails here. You can recreational kayak and swim (life guard on duty). One trail I really enjoy is the first one after turning into the park area. It will be on your right and (I believe is about 2.5 Miles long). The AMC built a small tunnel going through part of the rock that blocked off part of the trail. Once you go through the tunnel, the hike takes on a whole new tone. You leave a fairly smooth walking surface and enter into an area with high rock walls, trees growing every-which-way, and a water trickling down the sides of the path. After hiking for 15 or so more mintues you enter into a clearing which results in a large pond and a granite sitting bench. Make sure to bring bug spray, espec. after 5 (some still water provides bug heaven).
Directions:
Follow 122A into Rultand. Pass Rutland fire station on your right and a small gas station on your left. After about 5 mintues you will see the park entrance on your right. Follow signs to hiking area of the park.
