The San Joseph Bay trail in Cape Scott Provincial Park offers and easier, 45 minute alternative to the long three day hike to the lighthouse. The trail and parking lot has recently been improved and is really easy. Be sure to take your valuables with you because potential thieves know people will be gone for a long time.
San Joseph Bay is a beautiful bay with sandy beaches and sea stacks. A favorite of people of any ability!

Drive from Port Hardy to Holberg and then to Cape Scott. Signage is really good.
