This great destination is a great escape just outside the I-495 Beltway. With a waterfall, lots of different trails and great views of the Potomac, it's a great area to ramble around. For those of you who are always looking for a place to bring your dog, this is a great place as dogs are allowed, but please remember the leash. You can also hook up with the Potomac Heritage Trail from the east end of the park for a longer hike.
The park covers 384 acres with many intersecting trails - go out and have fun in any season!
Directions:
From the Beltway in McLean, take exit 13. Go left on Georgetown Pike and in less than a mile, turn right into the parking lot.
