Your options vary in this rugged network of trails that hug both sides of a valley. You can hike in a loop using a portion of the Finger Lakes Trail or challenge yourself on a bike on miles of very rough single track. Either way, your heart will pound. This is not the place for a Sunday stroll. You'll also get lost without a map.

Maps and details can be found in the guidebooks "Take A Hike - Family Walks in New York's Finger Lakes Region," and "Take our Bike - Family Rides in New York's Finger Lakes Region," both available through EMS.

Directions:

Take Route 79 east from Ithaca to Slaterville Springs. Just after Caroline Elementary School, turn right onto Boiceville Road. At the T turn left onto Valley Road/Central Chapel Road. At the Y bear right on Braley Hill Road. Watch for the parking area on the left.
