UpsideThe gps units for the trailhead is 10U 0639818 5452479. and it follows the skagit trail for about 20mins to a large cedar tree on the left. As you follow the trail up, the closed gps availability was 10U 0640337 5451036 close to the creek. There are several old mines along the trail, with the first at 10U 0643110 5449068. Going along the trail is very good, with water available after the 7 switchbacks(about 4 hours in) There are old cabins to look at as well.
DownsideWe spent 6 hours going up the trail, and did not reach the summit in this time. We did spend about 1/2 hour for lunch, and 1/2 hour looking at cabins and mine shafts.
CommentThis trail was a fantastic hike, but to make the summit, you cannot doddle too much along the trail.
