Hiking trail; Views
HIGHLIGHTS: Impressive second growth forest trails leading to spectacular views of Howe Sound mountains, Keats Island, Bowen Island, Gibsons, and the Strait of Georgia. This trail is short, but the views are worthwhile.
ACCESS: From the traffic light at the junction of Hwy 101 and North Road in Gibsons, proceed 1.9km along North Road towards the Langdale ferry terminal. Turn right onto Chamberlin Road and after 200m left onto Bridgeman Road. 300m along Bridgeman is the park entrance.
From the Langdale ferry terminal, Chamberlin Road is 2km along North Road. Access to the park can also be gained from Marine Drive 1.1km from Langdale ferry terminal. There is a wide spot on the right for parking. You'll recognize Soames Hill from the Ferry as it is a well-rounded "hump" of a hill that is thickly wooded.
TERRAIN: This trail is short and steep with summit trails of steeply graded stairways.

UpsideGreat short hike, especially during the winter months when time and good weather is limited. Do yourself a favour and take a look. Great view as you can see by the photos.
DownsideWhat downside???
CommentThere is a Geocache there as well. Take a look at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=10471
