Has trail markers indicating it is part of the trans-canada trail. First 2/3 follow ridge in nice forest. Last 1/3 is walk along logging roads in clear cut. (don't believe out-of-date google earth imagery)
Lake is good for a picnic and a swim.
Directions:
Turn onto spruston road from the island highway and watch for signs of trail head at large turn out.

QuestionHi there, my boyfriend and I tried to do the hike from Spruston Rd. today and we found that it's very difficult to get from the ridge to the lake. I am studying the google earth images and not even able to get my bearings, because it looks totally different in person. Do you have any suggestions for finding a way to the lake from the original ridge trail? ThanksANSWERS are in this forum: timberland lake
