This is a great launch to get you out for stripers, blues or to just have a great day on the water. Access to Barn Island, Napatree Point, Watch Hill Cove, Sandy Point, Stonington Point, the Pawcatuck River or the great Atlantic is available from this launch and you can always stay within a quarter of a mile from shore. Boat traffic can be intense on the weekends and the average boater IQ seems to drop on the weekend as well. Be careful and don't expect people to give you the right of way even if you deserve it. My friends and I have found extraordinary fishing in these waters and we seem to drive the power boaters nuts as we have access to waters they can't venture into due to shallow depths and rocks. They can see us hauling in the fish but they can't always get close. Pay attention to the wind, tide and fog conditions and enjoy this area as much as we have.

Directions:

Exit 91 off Interstate 95. Pequot Trail East for about 2 miles to a right onto South Anquilla. 1.5 miles to a right onto Rt. 1 and then a quick left onto Green Haven and an immediate right onto Palmer Neck. A mile and a half and you'll come to the large but well used launch and parking lot.
