Stow Town Forest is a compact, 325 acre forest located in the suburbs of Boston. Its convenient location makes it great for a day trip or a sneak- out-of-work-early-and-go-ride-spot. There are about 10 miles of trails in the park. The trails are a mix of mellow double track, dirt lanes and fast singletrack.
Scenery here is classic New England. Many of the forest trails are surrounded by 100 foot tall pine trees, creating a nice shaded canopy. And if you pick up the trail blazed with yellow paint, it winds along the Assabet River and leads to a shaded cover off the river.
Directions:
Stowe Town Forest is about 20 miles west of Boston off route 117. Once on route 117 take a left onto Bradley Lane and the entrance is right there.
