This short section of the Metacomet-Monadnock trail will bring you to the summit house on Mt. Holyoke (AKA Skinner Mountain). You will also have excellent westerly views of the Connectcut River, Northampton and Amherst, Mass. During the summer the Skinner House at the summit will be open for tours. If you have driven through the pioneer valley on Interstate 91, this is the building on the ridgeline you see to the east of the highway.
Park at the bottom parking lot, then you will travel south on the dirt road. After about a half mile look on the left for a white blazed trailhead
