i havent been up goat mountain for grouse because i believe there is still snow. I went to the Lyn headwaters trail 2 weeks ago and was walking in a foot of melting snow, and thats not nearly the altitude of grouse. Give it a few more weeks, I hear we have a heat wave coming this week.

Grouse Grind opened this week, so I'm sure there is minial snow up there - but goat mountain will still have quite a bit of snow - I would wait for a few more weeks.

Goat is looking great now. I would still recommend gaters but crampons are no longer required for Dam, Little Goat or Goat Mountain.
