Regarding trail Stawamus Chief near Squamish, BC

is it ok/possible to hike this trail with my dog? he's a 65 pound, shephard husky mix.

the issue with the chief is that there is a section near the top that requires a rope pullup and ladder. This would not be good for your dog, unless you plan on carrying your dog up this part, but you can always just hike a portion of it.

I take my 60 lb Golden Retriever (she's a very fit and experienced hiker) and we do the longer but more more gradual 3rd peak. We did it twice this year and she never had any problem at all.

So do 3rd peak, not 1st.

i ended up doing the 1st peak without him, but now that know about 3rd i'll definitely bring him. thank you so much!!!
