Just looking at the local north shore mountains, there has been recent snowfall. Mt. Cheam (6,903ft) is much higher than Cypress (4724ft). I would say there is a lot of snow up there still. Last year my friends and I made an attempt in early June, and we had a snow that was waist deep in some sections. I would wait off on this until summer.

We can see Cheam from our house and there is still alot of snow. We are anxious to get there this summer too, but are looking at least July/August. With luck, the snow will be mostly melted. Last year (2009) it wasn't really looking bare until September. FYI.

Good luck and happy trails.
