Just wondering if anyone has been up the trail lately and can comment on the conditions? Given the snow pack in other areas I'm concerned about snow level. Cheers!

I usually do this hike around this time each year. Never have encountered snow. However . . . . this year is different for sure. I'd be surprise to see snow on this one. MAYBE around the lake. Not sure who to call. Tried that once. Dead end. Plan on going up mid July.

My thoughts exactly. I spoke with a forester this morning and he said his crews have been encountering snow around 1200-1400m near the Hope slide area and since Eaton is ~1300m I'm a little weary.

Was just there over Canada Day long weekend. We were doing the hike for the first time. Made it up to the third bridge crossing to discover the log bridge was broken in two places. I didn't think it was wise to cross over any other way to risk falling in etc with no extra clothes or gear with us. The creek was running quite high and fast. There was a bit of snow up at the point we made it too but nothing major. Was a bit cool close to the water but nothing that would require extra warm gear unless you were to spend the night.

tie you boots up, bring a lighter and a knife and walk up hill. quit complaining about bridges. its a very well maintained trail, takes about 2hrs to walk up to the lake on the trail with a 40lbs pack(belly boat, fishing gear, body sack, whiskey, and spaghetti an meat balls). i fished in the lake and caught a few nice trout. i would highly recomend this lake and the hill beside it to the north west if you want to o for a walk in the morning. if bridges are washed out theres away around... if your not a puss
