Hi, if you dont have a 4x4 or a truck can a car or a van make it most of the way and where would you park?

Thanks

Hi,
I hike Mt Cheam often and also dirt bike that entire area and would not advise taking a car up there. You wouldn't make it and most likely would end up damaging something. 4x4/AWD is best or at least a vehicle with a some clearance height (SUV/small truck) to get to the parking lot at the top where the trail head is. The entire road to there is FSR and the closer you get to the trail the worse the road gets with wash outs and rocks.
Other than the main parking lot at the trail head there is only parking on the sides of the FSR road by the parking lot.
A lot of hiking groups in the area to meet up in Chilliwack and carpool to different hikes, you might want to try that or hop in with a friend who has a vehicle that would make it

Hi Eric,
Unfortunately, the road does require you to have a 4X4 and is 15km up to the trail head. There are some pull outs on this road for parking, but there are only a few and I don't know if they will be available.

Even in a 4x4 i had a bit of trouble with that road, there are lots of points to pull aside to, just ensure yo have enough room to turn around without getting stuck somewhere. The hike itself is gorgeous though, good luck!

absolutely not, unless you plan on getting new tie rod ends, etc.
