Hi Richard,

we started to hike a little more in winter conditions and I'll give you a list of few nice winter hikes we have done so far. As for the gear, I would suggest you always bring an ice axe (we need to get one of those asap...). We always have our poles for sure and we finally got great winter boots but they are just hiking boots and it's good enough for now. We bring spikes but rarely use them as they are efficient only on icy terrain. Some of the hikes below have slopes that could be hazardous for avalanches closer to the summit. We intend to take our avalanche course soon as we get out more often in these conditions now.

Most of them are easy hikes/scrambles, with some tricky sections that I would rate as moderate (in winter conditions):

Kent Ridge North Summit
Midnight Peak
Red Ridge
Healy Pass
Three Sisters Pass
Little Lougheed
King Creek Ridge
Forgetmenot Ridge
Barrier Lookout
Wasootch Ridge
Volcano Peak

I hope this helps!

Chris
