Avid long distance backpacker much of which I do solo. Thru-hiked the SIA-IAT from Quebec to Maine in 2002, and from Port Hastings to North Sydney, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia in 2007. Completed the West Coast Trail in July 2009. My sister (aka "Twisted Sister No. 1") and I are section-hiking the AT in hopes of someday finishing it and so far, we've hiked from Maine to Vermont, slowly but surely.
I've also worked as a back-country horseback wrangler/trail guide in the Rocky Mountains and I've bicycled the Confederation Trail in PEI from end to end, Tignish to Elmira.
I'm currently doing volunteer work on Nova Scotia's first long distance footpath, The Cape to Cape Trail, which may someday run from one end of mainland Nova Scotia to the other end, approximately 400 km in length.
