The Many Springs trail is suitable for the absolute beginner or families with strollers. This is a 1.8 km loop around a spring fed lake. This trail is known for its abundance in spectacular flowers. This is also an area known for its diversity birds.
Leave Canmore heading east 27 km on highway #1. Or leave Calgary heading west on highway #1, 5 kilometers after the highway #40 intersection. At exit #114 head north to Seebe/Exshaw. At this point you will be on highway 1X. The Bow valley provincial park entrance is to the west of the highway. The trail head is located at the Many Springs Parking Lot which is located about 2 km west following the paved road that goes through the park.

UpsideThis is a great place if you have young children along; stroller/wheelchair friendly. No real grade increase. The scenery is beautiful. DownsideDefinitely not something that you would enjoy if you are looking for a challenge. Quite close to the highway so you can hear cars passing (we managed to tune it out, but it can be a distraction) CommentThe reason I went on this hike was to take my nephew (2 yrs old) and his parents for a nice day outdoors. My Nephew had a great time, he was very excited by the "big mountains" around us, and it was a great way to introduce him to the outdoors while enjoying a more relaxing day outside.
