Steep start to hike, great views down the valley. Moderate hike, some loose rock on the trail so be careful coming down especially.
Drive east from Vernon on Highway 6 for 12.3 km to Learmouth Road and follow it to a T junction where you turn left and then right onto Aberdeen Lake Road. Four km up the road there's a cleared area on the left and a hiking sign near the roadside. Park here and hike up the hill.

UpsideQuickly gain elevation. I would use this like joggers use stairs to train, if I was getting ready for a big backcountry trip. Great views from the top. DownsideDifficulty rating of 'easy' is perhaps for the length, but not something I would take my 3 year old on again. It is quite steep, gravel is like marbles on the way down. I imagine it would be impassable in wet conditions, as another reviewer suggested.
