The Cochrane Ranche Historic site is the original site of Senator Matthew Henry Cochrane's ranch, established in 1881.

Trail around the site passes a significant variety of terrain, prairie on the west side and forest on the east side. It's a pleasant and easy walk.

There can be muddy sections at north end of trail.
