This is one of a series of short trails in the Tonto National Forest. Access is generally through Lost Dutchman State Park near Apache Junction, AZ. The trails all originate from the state park and follow along the north face of Superstition Mountain. Depending on the amount of spring rains, you could be treated to a carpet of wildflowers. When you’re finished hiking (or before), take a drive along the Apache Trail – it’s an amazing drive.
The trail is rated as moderately difficult, with a length of 2.4 miles and an elevation gain of 500’.
