We tackled this hike on a sunny afternoon in August leaving from the Info Centre parking lot and heading south along the coast of Newman Sound and the Terra Nova Bird Sanctuary. We followed the shore through the wooded coastline detouring periodically to check out the beach and snap a few photos.
The trek eventually brought us to what is named 'The Pissing Mare Falls' a picturesque waterfall situated in the hill just off the trail. A short trek on a worn trail will bring you right to the base for a cool off.
Nearing the end of the trail we came upon Terra Nova National Park theater area for outdoor live shows as well as a picnic area and a great view over the water.
Overall a very nice trek. Certainly not strenuous by any means however it is a linear route and you will have to venture back from which you came.
