Moderate terrain good chance of encountering deer and other wildlife. Trail goes thru hardwood forests, watch for claw marks on beech trees from bears climbing to reach nuts, also low swampy areas along the edge of Bonnie's pond.

There are also low swampy areas along the edge of Bonnie's pond. Pay close attention where the trail crosses the mountain bike trail (old logging road) it is an ideal spot to see deer. Also a short branch leds to a lookout on Silent lake. Parking is in a designated lot in Silent lake park. Trail maps are available at park office.
