UpsideExcellent views of Storm Mountain, Castle Mountain, Vista Lake and Arnica Lake. Trail is not busy. Arnica Lake is a fantastic spot for a picnic.
DownsideLots of loose rock on the trail make the decent tricky Make sure you are in shape...lots of elevation gain. Sections of the trail are very thick with trees which limit the view CommentCompleted Arnica lake in August of 2014. A great hike that really challenges you to some steep elevation in a very short period of time. 600m of elevation in 3KM. Fantastic views along the trail - we were able to get some great pictures. Arnica lake is beautiful and very peaceful...we had a fantastic lunch right next to the water. Definitely worth the trip...not for the fair weather hiker though...make sure you're in decent shape before you attempt this one.
