This is a nice vigorous hike covering some of the nicest trails in the northern part of the central section of Shenandoah National park. Beginning at the Buck Hollow parking area on the south side Rt. 211 climb Buck Hollow Trail to the Skyline Drive. Crossing the Drive go up Meadow Spring Trail and left on the AT to the junction with the Leading Ridge trail.
Shortly to the left take a left on Skyline Drive to the Hanna Run trail. Carefully go down the Hanna Run and go left on Cattlet Mtn. and Hazel Mtn. trails. Go right on Hazel River Trail, left on White Rocks and Hazel Mountain Trail. When you reach Buck Ridge Trail take a right and hike back down to the parking area.
The trailhead parking area is on the left about 4 miles west of Sperryville VA on US 211 a little less than one mile after entering Shenandoah National Park.
