This is the un-official way to access Chin beach from Highway 14, if you don't want to do the very difficult hike from Sombrio or Bear Beach. It is through PRIVATE land so be respectful so access is not cut off!
The trailhead is marked with flagging tape and is fairly obvious, it is in the pullout area.
The trail in is flat for the first half, and then you start your way down to the beach. Typical west coast hiking: rocky, muddy and steep. Once you're down you come out right at the Chin beach campsite area.
From Sooke: Continue west on highway 14. Past China Beach, past the pull-out for Bear Beach (see other post). Pull out along the highway BEFORE it gets all twisty and turny and you end up at Sombrio. (If you cross a one-way bridge, you've gone too far).
Park along highway 14 (Aprox 48°28'49"N, 124°14'54"W) - there are pull-outs on both sides of the highway.
