This is a trail that will take you to the Brigus Lightstation. Its a beautiful trail with a lot of ups and downs. In the late summer you can pick berries all along the way. the view along the trail over looking Brigus is quite beautiful.
The trail starts in the town of Brigus. Drive to the area leading to the Historic Kent Cottage (LandFall). There are two ways in which you can start. In the parking area, you can see a trail facing north, you can proceed along this trail, or take the trail leading into Kent Cottage (LandFall). Just before the gates into the cottage follow a rockwall North up the hill and follow along the trail. Don't be surprised if you see a cow along the way.

UpsideGreat views Low traffic (depending on season/day) Easy navigation Lots of resting spots Not too long DownsideLOTS of steep hills which can be hazardous in wet or icy conditions Not the longest trail Can be very busy during the summer season on weekends Cows. So many cows. (can be an issue when hiking with dogs) Steep cliffs can be a bit daunting CommentFantastic place to hike during the right seasons (spring & fall) on the right days (weekdays). Usually fairly low traffic, and a great workout without being impossible for novice hikers lacking equipment, though a pair of hiking boots definitely will NOT go astray. Be wary of slippery conditions on some of the steep hills after rainfall, and brace yourself to start off your hike with a VERY steep incline. When hiking with dogs, be aware that there are often cows in the fields on top of the hill, and take into consideration that many people hike off-leash with their dogs on this trail.
