Well defined trail with steep sections, wildflower filled meadows and creeks. Trail leads to first Lake. Continue on trail past first lake to second lake and continue on trail. Veer left to ridge and follow ridge to Mt. Brewer peak. From peak take awesome scree run down to lake and follow trail back to trail head.
High clearance vehicle needed. From Invermere /Hwy 95 junction lights set odometer to 0. At 2.8k turn right by Sobeys. Turn left at 10th Ave(T intersection). At 3.7k turn right on 13th st. Then left at 4.1k on 13th Ave. This becomes Westside road as you leave the city. At 18k turn right at Hawke rd. Turn right after crossing a cattle guard at 26k. Turn right on Brewer Creek FSR at 29k. At 29.7 stay left at y junction. Go right at Y junction at 33k(stay on Brewer Creek FSR). Go right at 34k, left at 36k. Cross a bridge at 42k. Last 2k is rough. Trailhead at 44.2k

QuestionJust curious with all the fires in the East Kootney area, has anyone been up the Brewer Creek FSR lately?
Is it still open? As rough as it's always been in the past, are there any new washouts or hazards to be aware of?
Any and all info is great appreciated!
