Day 1: Begin your trek at the 'Elbow Lake Trailhead', hike 1.3km to the world renowned 'Elbow Lake', go around the lake in the way you desire until you hit the sheep trail junction and hike ~7km to the tombstone backcountry campground.
Day 2: This is a very straight forward day, head north and follow the river, you can either turn right to goto the tombstone lakes (an extra 0.5km) or head straight and just follow the path to the Mt. Romulus campground, after the first 2-3k the whole day is downhill.
Day 3: I recommend an alpine start on this day, if your planning on continuing after the pass, if your turning back and coming the way you came, you should be fine, you immediatly have to cross the creek on the far side of the campground (from the entrance), you may have some trouble finding the trail but you'll be fine once it's found, once you have hit the top of one of the most beautiful passes in the rockies, if you dont choose to turn back you can go over the pass into a marsh, there is a horse camp ~4k to the north/west, you can go out from the Evan-tompson day use park. Otherwise you can turn around and go back to the Mt. Romulus Campground.
Day 4: Return to tombstone or go back to the parking lot.
Day 5: (Optional if you went back to tombstone) Return to the parking lot
