A nice stroll along a portion of the Bruce Trail. The first stretch takes you through some nice forest along a well groomed trail. As you approach the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, the trail is a bit more rugged, affording wonderful views of Georgian Bay, and the rocky shoreline some 200 feet below. There are many short side trails that take you to the edge of the bluff.
This is also a very popular rock climbing area, probably more so than hiking.
Follow the trail to Lion's Head lookout... a great to spot to stop for snacks while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Return via the same route.
As you enter the community of Lion's Head, turn onto Moore Street and follow it to the end. The trailhead is easy to spot.

UpsideThank you for the recommendation - the views along the trail were fabulous.................we got some great shots of Georgian Bay. There are several spots you can stop to view the Bay and see for yourself and capture the moment with your camera. Downsideif you are afraid of heights, stay back from some of the spots CommentI would also highly recommend visiting this trail, it is great for all levels of hiking skills - ideal for the beginner hiker. Bring your camera!!!
