Over all not a bad hike. There is a DEC camp ground at the bottom and a nice lake near by. The trail starts off in the campground then slowly winds its way up through some woods that were logs back in the early 1900's. There are some breaks in the tree line were you can look out over the lake. Even thought it is not a high climb the view is still good. When at the top I myself could not find a good view/over look. Going down the north side you will find it is a bit steeper and you will also find a shelter to take a break at. The trail will end up coming back to were you started in the DEC campground. Trail is marked.
Head to Branberry Lake Village on Rt 3, go though the town and you will see a big sign saying that there is a DEC camp ground go in and you will find a ranger which will direct you to the trail head.
