A raised boardwalk was erected over Honeoye Lake Outlet to provide an up-close view of the creek and wetlands. I've watched a loon paddle beside the boardwalk. This is a special place.

A map and details can be found in the guidebook "Take A Hike - Family Walks in New York's Finger Lakes Region" available through EMS.

Directions:

From Route 20A in the hamlet of Honeoye, head south on Country Road 36 (Lake Road). Pass the American Legion Hall and turn left to enter Sandy Bottom Park.
