Nice loop trail, access to alpine in Kluane Park and camping is available near the creek. Follow the main trail to 2km marker where a loop begins. Take the left fork which leads to a camping area halfway along the loop. Camping spot is near 7km about 30 m off the trail to the right.
You can explore the mountain cirque from here, but there is no trail to the alpine. You need to do some bushwhacking to get there. Elevation gain on the trail to here is 1800ft (550m) to the high point at 4300ft (1300m).
There are nice places to stop for views and photos, but there is some thick brush in many places, and on the creek. Creeks have bridges and viewpoints are at 9km and 11.5 km. The trail is well marked.
Directions:
Head south 7 km from Haines Junction along Haines rd. Trailhead is on the right, good parking, clearly marked at start.
