Head north on the AT and see a stunning Rose Quartz veined stream, a high elevation Fenn (Limestone basin pond) and beautiful easterly, westerly and southerly views. At the top of the hike be sure to look for the Pine Cobble Trail to your left (continuing north on the AT will land you in Vermont!). Follow the Pine Cobble Trail down to your car. While climbing up the AT before reaching the top, be aware of a steep boulder area that you must traverse. Not recommended for winter!

Directions:

This roundtrip hike requires a car spot at the end! Go to North Hoosac Road and spot your car of a small side street (see map) on the left where the Pine Cobble Trail ends. Drive east on Massachusetts Ave. to the trailhead for the AT (white trail markers) and park on the road-the trailhead is on the left (for a map and more info go see the AMC Massachusetts Trail Guide and look for the Northern Berkshire map area).
