This is a nice short linear trail to Upper Delicate Arch viewpoint. Delicate Arch is Utah’s most famous arch; it is the one on their license plates. The views here are distant of delicate arch but the hike is very enjoyable on the slick rock. The trail is only .8 kms round trip and will take you less than an hour to do. The trail is uphill all the way there and downhill on the way home. Bring lots of water and a hat; there isn’t any shade on this hike.
Don’t even bother heading over to lower delicate arch viewpoint, the hike you are about to do is better. From the parking lot follow the well trodden trail. Parts of the trail are either dirt or slick rock but shouldn’t be a problem. Make your way up and look to your left and you should see delicate arch. If you have decent zoom on your camera you can get a nice shot of it from here.
Make your way to Arches National Park. From the entrance station make a left at the first 3 way intersection (15 kms) and then head 4 kms to the next intersection and make a right. Then drive to the end of the road (3.5 kms) and park.
