Weir Road Trail is a great trail to get you out in the woods for a quick hike and wildlife viewing!
The uploaded GPS track has singletrack and double track. This is a fairly short trail for Mtn Biking but great for hiking, snowshoeing, or X-country skiing. Trail is well marked with yellow blazes. There is a good sized beaver pond/marsh on the west side for wildlife and waterfowl viewing.
Directions:
Trail can be accessed in Concord or Boscawen. From Route 3 in Penacook take a left on Queen street then take left onto Weir Road and park at the end, at the gate. Three trail options start at the gate. Go right for the Boscawen Town forest trails. Go left after about 30 ft up the main trail and head south toward the Concord line. Option 3 is to go straight on the wide trail. Wier Rd in Concord can be found by taking a left onto Elm Street from Route 3 in Penacook and then taking a right on Wier Rd after 2.25 miles. Trail head is at the end of the Road.
