This trail commences at Cold Fish Lake camp and follows Black Fox Creek. This is a moderate day hike. There are portions that can be wet or muddy.
The first part of the trail is in good shape, until many creeks are crossed, and the area gets a bit swampy. Horses are used on this trail sometimes, and there are braids to get around flooded areas. After a larger creek the trail disappears and one can continue on animal trails up higher, as there are no trees, just some grass and low bushes. Views are nice from here, to Black Fox peak across the valley.
Start at at Cold Fish Lake camp, go uphill to the trail sign just past the Host cabin. the trail heads toward the plateau and then it angles left at the fork after 1km and follows parallel to the creek, for many kilometers. (the right fork is the plateau trail - signed, no sign for the creek trail)
