Straight double track for the first section then up to top of ridge over broken up shale (the shingles) then windy up and downs through trees and grass fields across the top of the ridge, loops back to trail head. Or hop over wood fence at the end of the straight and the trail continues to Eden Mills. If you make a right on 1st line at the end of the trail bike 200m, there is another trail head on your right that connects to 3 or 4 other trails on the other side of the river. This is one of the best mountain biking spots in Guelph.
From downtown head toward the University and make a left on Stone Rd follow to Watson and make a right, trail head is about 300m up on the left. Or follow the James st. trail all the way to Stone Rd and make a left then right on Watson.
