This is not really a trail, but a nice local walk by the Fraser River along a new boardwalk.
Drive on Highway 99 to Steveston Highway (near the tunnel). Head west on the Steveston highway towards Steveston. Turn left (south on Number 1 road), and head into Steveston. Park at southern extremity of No. 1 Road and you are at the boardwalk.
There is GPS data attached to this trail (see "download GPS"), which if loaded into your GPS can help you find route points.

UpsideIf you want a nice walk and picnic than this is a great spot. The Richmond dike can go all the way from the North end of One road to the South end of 5 road if you stay allong all the outside roads. Ride your bike and it will take about an hour+half. Walk and it will take 3 hours about. And you can stop in the middle to see Steveston. At the begining of the trip you will see the airport, then the marsh, gary point, steveston, the fish docks, then old heritage farms at the end of Gilbert, and finaly B.C. ferries drydocks. Great trip if you park cars at both ends. DownsideLong for a walk, but perfect for a bikeride. CommentStop in Steveston for lunch, Pajos is great for fish and chips its on the docks.

UpsideMy wife and I discovered this area for the first time yesterday. We had walked the dyke path north out Garry Point park many times but had never been this way before...construction and the industrialness had discouraged us. But this time the area was open up with wide riverside paved paths for for bikes, skaters, and walkers. The view was tremendous with many water brids, river traffic, shops, and wonderful historical buildings. The boat works and older Japanese home were wonderful. Additioanlly, if you go the whole lenght of the walk from Garry Point east to #1 road it's an adequate work out. This is a super family walk!
